Accelerate360 currently has an opening for a Web Developer to create, maintain, and support LifeToGo.com (Shopify), shopa360.com (TrueCommerce Nexternal), and other platforms in development or on the horizon. The Web Developer will be responsible for the continuous optimization of our platforms to maximize conversion throughout the shopper journey, while maintaining a great shopper experience. The Web Developer will be responsible for ensuring a thoroughly functional, professional- looking, secure and ADA compliant platform, including designing, testing, managing and supporting the site's design, content, functionality and marketing within the platform. The Web Developer will report into the EVP eCommerce, but will work closely with multiple departments throughout the organization, including the eCommerce platform leads and team, IT, Operations and Marketing. Position: Web Developer
Location: Atlanta (preferred), Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT), Houston, Austin, San Antonio or Remote
Reports To: EVP of eCommerce
Hours: Normal Business Hours – On Call As Needed
Travel: Minimal - Required As Needed
Responsibilities:
Design – Participate/lead design of content that is user-friendly, attractive, and engaging, while remaining true to the company brand and promoting the company image and values.
Update – Participate/lead the creation, testing, deployment and support of new site elements and updates to existing pages.
Optimize – Continuously seek to optimize every aspect of the sites running A/B tests measuring improvements to conversion and other KPIs.
Train – Train other staff members, third parties and others on using the functionality, content and other online features.
Oversight/Maintenance – Monitor website performance, security, activities, visitors, etc…, assure the site runs smoothly, load times are optimized, and create/distribute analytics and other reports.
Troubleshoot - Troubleshoot, diagnose and debug problems that occur in the normal course of operations, such as fixing broken links, images, adding new content, product updates, etc….
Collaborate - Collaborate with multiple business stakeholders, including eCommerce team, IT, marketing, sales, other departments, and third party agencies develop, test, deploy and support content and site functionality.
Test – Develop test scenarios and test cases, run test cycles, document defects, repair/work with others to repair defects, assure defects resolved, and deploy/participate in the deployment of updates.
Site Security – Monitor and protect against hacks, viruses and malware, run routine diagnostics to ensure site security and, as appropriate, review applications and metrics to ensure the site's integrity.
ADA Compliance – Ensure ongoing ADA compliance across platforms.
Education/Skills:
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience, master’s degree a plus
3 - 5+ Years’ experience in a similar position
Experience developing/managing an eCommerce website, Shopify or TrueCommerce Nexternal a plus
Strong computer and internet skills, able to troubleshoot typical software glitches, and use standard software packages such as Microsoft Office
Experience with the system development methodologies utilized to plan, define, design, develop, test, deploy and support web-based ecommerce platforms and applications
An understanding of HTML, additional proficiencies in JavaScript, Python or Swift are a plus.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
Strong language and writing skills to support content creation, revision, documentation, communications, etc…, including the ability to edit and proofread content produced by others
Experience developing and publishing website statistics and visitor behavior metrics, able to analyze data, and to make use of it to develop and target web traffic, user retention, and sales
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change within a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
Able to work effectively with different departments and all levels of employees internally and represent the company to suppliers and vendors in a professional manner
